Across the country Fusion seeks to equip and support local churches in local mission. This ministry really took off around 2012 as we partnered with More Than Gold and provided training for those wanting to run community building festivals and street parties in conjunction with the Jubilee and the Olympics. Since then we have continued partnering with Messy Church, Share Jesus International, Neighbourhood Prayer Network and other organisations to build on the legacy of 2012 and keep encouraging the churches in the country in effective local mission. We did this primarily through regional training days in 2013, then through Crossing London and in Scotland in 2014 in preparation for the Commonwealth Games. In 2015 we will be working in a similar way building towards the Rugby World Cup as a fun excuse for churches to get into the community again.
Included in our ministry nationally is our contribution to the dialogue about national identity and values. For us the importance of narrative is central to all our ministry from individual mentoring through to the transformation of society. Through parables, our British Pilgrimage of Hope and in many other ways, we want to make a contribution that will reawaken our nation's God given narrative, from individual communities to the nation as a whole.
