Fusion Whitley (South Reading)
A look back at March
By Skye Leon
In the last month the Reading team enjoyed leading the Foundations Course weekend away at Legge House in Swindon. We enjoyed bringing all of the course participants together (pictured above) under one roof. Jason and Chris from our Associate Centre in Witham have been joining us each week via a multimedia sharing platform called Zoom.
We were thrilled to be joined by Fusion team mates Andy, Jeannette and Dave from the North.
We continue to enjoy connecting with our local community through Schools Work (RGS's Discovery Club & JMA's Coffee and Cake for Staff plus the Year 7 Community Lunches all in partnership with Learn4Life). Just last week was our monthly Community Dinner at The World Turned Upside Down Carvery. We are now gearing up for running the annual Easter Community Festival in partnership with the local Anglican churches and look forward to helping Whitley come together to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.

We're very proud of Keith Meredith for accomplishing the goal of getting a shipping container on our camping land that will serve as a kitchen and nature centre. It's been a goal for a long time and will serve generations of youth in the area. Chis and Jason are looking forward to summer of festivals starting with the Tour de Witham (the areas largest biking event) on July 2nd.
If you are in the area, registration information can be found on our website http://2withamboys-brigade.org.uk/
The container move was a miracle...with 3 local residents coming to the rescue with the how-to-plan! Have faith and don't give up!
