From the Fusion Whitley Team...
This past month we had our 2nd Annual Quiz Night Fundraiser held this year at St. Agnes Church in Whitley. We had a great turn out and it was a fantastic night of fun, fellowship and laughter. We were able to raise a total of £427.57 throughout the night which will be used to invest in the future of Fusion, allowing us to grow (and to recruit team) while serving here in Whitley.
We’re very excited to be able to share with you that in the past weeks we have had an influx of volunteers! We’ve had Paul come and join us as our IT Specialist and he’s currently elbow deep in getting our IT systems squared away, updated and running properly. We’ve also been joined by Sandra, who comes into the office once or twice a week to assist us with the various projects we’re working on. Finally, we’re looking forward to being joined by Akanksha in the next few weeks. She will be handling our Finances for us and freeing up Claire to do more local mission work.
We’re in the process of working with one of the local secondary schools in Whitley alongside the Learn 4 Life team to assist some of the kids in heading up a Festival for their younger classmates. We are also knee deep in preparations for our Annual British Pilgrimage of Hope that’s taking place at the end of July/beginning of August. We’ve got 8 pilgrims currently registered and are looking for more to join us.
How can people be praying?
We are still in need of a General Administrator and a PR/Communication Administrator. Pray that the right people come along to help us in this so as to free up Claire, Anika and Skye to do more within the community.
