FUSION LANCASHIRE

Young people finding a place at their Fusion Youth Café

From Lancashire Andy reports that 12 young people from the Preston youth café turned up early last week and were involved in the café setup, briefing and prayer! Andy is encouraged to see them rise to responsibility, especially as having so many young people on board for the beginning really contributed to a positive culture among the wider group attending the program.

Finding Resource Solutions

Funds are low and more male leaders are needed to support the large number of boys needing role models (prayer points if you are the praying kind!). Andy is committed to finding funds and team to ensure worthwhile programs like the Youth Café have the resources they need to continue to bless the kids! He’s currently considering fundraisers like sponsored hikes, so stay tuned! You might have the option to sponsor a daring young person in the near future!

Volunteering: If you know of anyone in Preston or Leyland who might like to join the team, Andy would love to hear from you! Visit this page to find out more!

FUSION WHITLEY (READING)

Post-Research Planning

The team in Whitley have started having conversations with local churches, Council Neighbourhood Initiatives Officers and other service providers, now that the 'Research Report into the needs of the Youth and Community of Whitley' has been published. It has been encouraging to see the way the research has been well received and appreciated. As conversations start to happen, plans will begin to develop and the team will have a clearer picture of what they will be facilitating and supporting in the future. We'll keep you posted!

Welcome Renée!

We are excited by the arrival of our new intern Renée (pictured above)! Renée is here interning with us in partnership with Greater Europe Mission (GEM). We look forward to journeying with Renée over the next four months as she explores her passion for youth and outreach in the UK.
